reference chip Phrozen Sonic Mighty 12K design, checked in CAD channel-chip 700 × 2400 µm

700 × 2400 µm — straight channel (Fluidic 556). A computer render of the design, not a photograph: its body drawn see-through, its channels in orange. The chip is 24.5 mm × 5.4 mm × 2.5 mm. Beside it, its cross-section across the middle, and a 500 µm window around the channel, which is 2.4 mm wide and 700 µm deep there.
Rendered from its design files, not photographed: the body see-through, the channels orange, and its cross-section beside it. Pictures in one family share one scale.

Internal geometry — X-ray

X-ray see-through view of 700 × 2400 µm — straight channel (Fluidic 556): plan footprint (true scale) and z-exaggerated isometric of the internal channel and two bores

See-through internal view. Left: fluid footprint in plan, true scale (teal); ports show as the wider circles. Right: isometric of the internal void, vertical z exaggerated 3× for visibility. The exterior is an opaque solid block — this is what is inside it.

Description

A single monolithic block for resin SLA (Phrozen Sonic Mighty 12K, 19 × 24 µm non-square) with one straight rectangular channel 700 µm deep × 2400 µm wide, running the full 20 mm port-to-port at mid-height, a solid floor below and ceiling above, and two Ø1.5 mm vertical access bores to the top surface. The vendor part is a COC body sealed with a foil lid — this is a different physical construction that reproduces only the channel cross-section. Footprint 24.5 × 5.4 × 2.5 mm.

All geometry checks run with trimesh (merged vertices) on the exported STLs. See the bundled README for the full method.

Provenance & caveats

Vendor-attributed: only the channel cross-section (H × W = 700 × 2400 µm) is taken from the vendor product page. OUR design (not the vendor’s): the channel length (20 mm) and the footprint. The envelope is our design; the vendor technical datasheet is robots-blocked. Ports are simplified straight cylindrical bores, standing in for the vendor’s MFCS Mini Luer sockets. Status — Phrozen Sonic Mighty 12K design, checked in CAD: the geometry is watertight and volumetrically checked in CAD — see the Verification table above for the numbers.

SLA adaptation. Channel cross-section (H × W) taken from the microfluidic ChipShop straight-channel series (vendor product page). This is a monolithic 3D-print adaptation, NOT a vendor part.
