Weaver valve. A computer drawing from its design files, not a photograph: its body drawn see-through, its channels in orange. Its bubble trap, a sealed pocket that holds no liquid, is not drawn in orange.

Description

A valve from a master's thesis at Brigham Young University (Rawlins 2026 [1]). The chip holds six valves, four weaver valves and two plain ones, each with source, gate, drain and flush channels, labelled S, G and D on its top. A bubble trap sits in the middle.

Developed at the Nordin Microfluidic and 3D Printing Lab, Brigham Young University.

Prints in a custom resin with NPS or avobenzone as the UV absorber.
