Description

A test piece for imaging a printed channel. The channel, 45.6 µm wide and 50 µm deep, runs from a pinhole in the side of the block along a 1 mm tip, which is cut with a microtome so the channel can be imaged in a scanning electron microscope (SEM). Above the channel, the top half of the block is cut away to avoid over-exposure, and a snap slit crosses the tip near its end.

Developed at the Nordin Microfluidic and 3D Printing Lab, Brigham Young University.

Prints in a custom resin with NPS or avobenzone as the UV absorber.
